RUNXIN F77A1/A3

The Runxin F77A1 and F77A3 are high-flow, multi-functional automatic control valves designed for industrial and commercial water softening and filtration systems.

These valves control the flow of water during service, backwash, brine draw, and fast rinse cycles, with a maximum flow rate of 18 m³/h.

The primary difference is the regeneration trigger:

  • F77A1 (Time Clock Type): Regenerators, where cycles are initiated according to a set schedule.
  • F77A3 (Meter Type): Regeneration, which triggers a cycle based on the volume of water treated.

Specification

  • Valve Type: Automatic Softener Valve
  • Flow Capacity: 18 m³/h
  • Mounting Type: Top-mount / Side-mount
  • Inlet/Outlet Size: 2" Male Thread
  • Drain: 1.5" Male Thread
  • Brine Line: 3/4" Male Thread
  • Water Turbidity: <20 FTU
  • Working Pressure: 0.2 - 0.6 MPa
  • Water Temperature: 5°C - 50°C (41°F - 122°F)
  • Mounting Base: 4"-8UN
  • Riser Pipe: 1.5" D-GB (50mm OD)
  • Filter Tank: 24" - 42"

Primary Applications

  • Ion Exchange Softening: The primary use is for "down-flow regeneration" in ion exchange equipment. It is specifically suited for treating water with a hardness of ≤6.5 mmol/L.
  • Industrial Pretreatment: Widely used as a pretreatment step for Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems to protect membranes from scale, and for boiler feed water to prevent scale buildup in boilers.
  • Commercial & Residential: Ideal for large-scale applications such as hotels, large office buildings, and apartment complexes.

Operation Cycles

The F77A1 is a 3-cycle filter valve, while the F77A3 is a 5-cycle softener valve.

  • Service: Directs water through the media for filtration/softening.
  • Backwash: Reverses flow to loosen the media bed and wash away trapped debris.
  • Brine & Slow Rinse (A3 only): Draws brine solution to regenerate resin beads.
  • Brine Refill (A3 only): Directs water back into the brine tank for the next cycle.
  • Fast Rinse: Settles the media bed and ensures all regenerant is flushed out before returning to service.

Key Features

  • Hermetic Seal Construction: Unlike traditional piston-based valves, the F77 series uses ceramic moving disks. This prevents internal leaking and ensures the valve remains functional even if the water contains slight particulates that would typically score a rubber seal.
  • Pressure Operation: The valve is designed to rotate under pressure, allowing the motor to switch between service, backwash, and fast rinse cycles without shutting off the main water feed.
  • Manual Override: In the event of a power failure or electronic malfunction, the valve includes a manual handle to cycle through positions manually.
  • LCD Display & Locking: The digital display provides real-time status updates (flow rate, days remaining, etc.). The keypad features an automatic locking function to prevent unauthorized tampering with settings.
  • Signal Output: Includes a signal output connector that can trigger a booster pump or a solenoid valve during regeneration.
  • Interlock Function: Allows multiple valves to be linked in parallel or series, ensuring only one valve is in regeneration at a time to maintain consistent system pressure.
  • Remote Handling: Features a remote signal input, allowing an external PLC or pressure switch to trigger an immediate regeneration cycle.
  • Anti-Bypass Mechanism: Ensures that raw water does not bypass the system during the regeneration or cleaning cycles.
