RUNXIN F96A1/A3

The Runxin F96A1/A3 is a high-capacity, automatic multiport control valve designed for industrial-scale water softening and filtration systems. It features a robust flow rate of 50 m³/h and utilizes a hydraulically balanced piston structure for smooth switching between service and regeneration modes

The primary difference is the regeneration trigger:

  • F112A1 Time Clock Type. Regeneration is initiated at preset time intervals (e.g., every 3 days), regardless of water usage.
  • F112A3 Meter Type. Regeneration is initiated after a preset volume of water has passed through the system, which is more efficient for industrial settings.

Specification

  • Valve Type: Automatic Softener Valve
  • Flow Capacity: 50 m³/h
  • Mounting Type: Side-mount
  • Inlet/Outlet Size: DN80
  • Drain: DN80
  • Brine Line: 3/4" Male Thread
  • Water Turbidity: <5 FTU
  • Working Pressure: 0.2 - 0.6 MPa
  • Water Temperature: 5°C - 50°C (41°F - 122°F)
  • Mounting Base: DN100 (Side mount, Top & Bottom distributor basket)
  • Riser Pipe: DN100 (Side mount, Top & Bottom distributor basket)
  • Filter Tank: 48" - 63"

Primary Applications

  • Industrial Water Softening: This is the main application for both models.
    • They are used to remove hardness minerals (calcium and magnesium) from water for boiler feed water, cooling towers, textile mills, food processing, and other manufacturing processes.
    • They are also a key component in reverse osmosis (RO) pretreatment systems to protect RO membranes from scale damage.

  • Filtration Systems: By simply blocking the brine port, either valve can be converted into a high-flow filter controller. This makes them suitable for.
    • Activated Carbon Filters: To remove chlorine, organic compounds, and improve taste and odor.
    • Sand Filters: For removing suspended solids, often used in swimming pool filtration systems.

Operation Cycles

  • Service (Normal Operation): Raw water enters the inlet, passes down through the resin bed (where ion exchange occurs), and exits through the outlet as soft water.
  • Backwash: Loosens the resin bed and flushes out accumulated sediment or debris.
  • Brine & Slow Rinse:  Regenerates the resin by drawing concentrated salt water (brine) and slowly rinsing it through the bed.
  • Brine Refill: Directs water back into the brine tank to dissolve salt and prepare brine for the next regeneration cycle.
  • Fast Rinse: Removes any remaining brine from the resin bed and settles the resin for service.

Key Features

  • High Capacity: Handles a continuous service flow rate of 50 m³/h and fits tanks 48" to 63" in diameter.
  • Flexible Brine Refill: The brine refill happens during the "Service" (filtering) position, shortening the total time the system is out of service for regeneration.

  • No Water Bypass: The valve prevents untreated water from entering the system during the regeneration/backwash cycle.
  • Manual Override: Even during automated operation, backwash can be initiated manually by pressing the "Manual/Return" button in case of sudden pressure drops.
  • Advanced System Integration: They support interlock functions for parallel systems (ensuring only one valve regenerates at a time) and series systems for multi-step treatment
  • Signal Output: Includes a signal connector for external equipment (such as a booster pump or solenoid valve) to synchronize with the valve's status.
  • LED Display: Provides a clear readout of the current status, time remaining in the cycle, and diagnostic error codes.
