HIGRADE RESIN H-C100
The H-C100E is a premium, high-purity, premium-grade Strong Acid Cation (SAC) gel-type ion exchange resin supplied in the sodium (Na+) form. It is specifically formulated and treated to meet food and beverage, drinking water, and potable water softening requirements, ensuring very low extractables and excellent structural stability.
Applications
- Potable Water Softening: Specifically certified for residential and commercial hard water reduction (removing calcium Ca2+ and magnesium Mg2+).
- Food & Beverage Processing: Extensively cleaned during manufacturing to meet extreme purity guidelines for ingredients and processing water.
- Industrial Softening: Used as a reliable, high-capacity precursor filtration matrix before industrial applications, boiler feeds, or reverse osmosis (RO) units to mitigate scaling.
Expected Softening Capacities by Salt Dosage
A standard 1.0 cubic foot bag of C100E yields predictable grain capacities based on the regeneration salt setting:
- High Efficiency: ~ 22,000 grains capacity when using 6 lbs of salt/cu.ft.
- Standard Setting: ~ 27,000 grains capacity when using 9 lbs of salt/cu.ft.
- Maximum Capacity: ~ 33,000 grains capacity when using 15 lbs of salt/cu.ft.
Standard Regeneration Parameters
- Regenerant Used: Sodium Chloride (NaCl - Brine solution) or Potassium Chloride (KCl).
- Co-flow Backwash Flow Rate: 5 - 6 GPM/ft2 to ensure optimal bed expansion (50% freeboard space recommended in the vessel).
- Service Flow Rate: Ideal kinetics occur between 5 - 7.5 GPM/ft3 (or 8 - 40 Bed Volumes per Hour).
