RUNXIN F74B1

The F74B1 automatic multiport softener valve features a flow rate of 10 m³/h and uses a planar, corrosion-resistant gasket for opening and closing. Backwash, brine, and slow rinse, brine refill, and fast rinse functions can be realized by this valve.

Specification

  • Valve Type: Automatic Softener Valve
  • Flow Capacity: 10 m³/h
  • Regeneration Type: Down-flow / Time Clock Type
  • Inlet/Outlet Size: 2" Male Thread
  • Drain: 1" Male Thread
  • Brine Line: 1/2 " Male Thread
  • Water Turbidity: <5 FTU
  • Working Pressure: 0.2 - 0.6 MPa (2 - 6 bar)
  • Water Temperature: 5°C - 50°C (41°F - 122°F)
  • Mounting Base: 4"-8UN
  • Riser Pipe: 1.5" D-GB (50mm OD)
  • Filter Tank: 16" - 30"

Primary Applications

The F74B1 is suitable for a variety of water treatment scenarios, including:

  • Household softening systems for residential use.
  • Ion exchange equipment for industrial and commercial applications.
  • Boiler feed water softening systems to prevent scaling.
  • Reverse Osmosis (RO) pretreatment softening systems.

Operation Cycles

  • Service: Normal operation, producing treated water.
  • Backwash: Water flows upward to lift and clean the resin bed.
  • Brine & Slow Rinse: Salt solution is drawn from the brine tank to regenerate the resin.
  • Brine Refill: Fresh water is added to the brine tank to prepare a salt solution for the next regeneration.
  • Fast Rinse: A final high-speed rinse to remove any remaining brine and prepare the system for service.

Key Features

  • Regeneration Control: The valve can be configured as either a Time Clock type (regenerates after a set number of days/hours) or a Meter type (regenerates based on water usage). The control board allows you to switch between these types.
  • No Raw Water Bypass: During regeneration, the valve automatically blocks the outlet, ensuring that untreated water does not enter the downstream system.
  • Manual Function: Allows you to initiate regeneration immediately with the press of a button.
  • Interlock Function: In systems with multiple tanks, this function ensures that only one valve regenerates at a time while the others remain in service.
  • Signal Output: The valve has a connector for external wiring, such as controlling a booster pump or an upstream water pump.
  • Long Outage Indicator: If power is lost for more than 3 days, the display flashes to remind the user to reset the time of day, but the programmed parameters are retained.

Installation Types

The F74B1 is a single-tank control valve that does not provide treated water during the regeneration cycle. It is shipped as a top-mounted valve (installed on top of the tank), but it can be converted to a side-mounted configuration using an adapter, allowing for more flexible space management.
